ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a critical role as the liaison between the finance department and other business units. Your primary responsibility is to provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and ensure financial targets are met. Working closely with senior management and operational teams, you'll help drive the financial performance of the organisation through strategic planning and analysis.
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, keen business acumen, and experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage business unit month end including journals, reconciliations, intercompany and timesheets.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly journals for depreciation, additions and disposals.
- Due diligence and contractual risk assessment of new customers and suppliers, ensuring applications adhere to our terms and conditions.
- Assist with business cases, deriving cost/benefit analysis.
- Assist with and often lead the annual budget and forecasts.
- Preparation and presentation of key performance indicators results against Budget and Forecast, including cashflow forecasts and balance sheet analysis.
- Work closely with Management to drive business performance.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand and navigate complex business environments.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- High proficiency in financial modelling and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
