ABOUT THE ROLE
Key to the company's success, Brosnan's Pre-Construction Project Programmers are professional members of the preconstruction team. Their role is to ensure that all projects have quality programmes and methodology submissions to assist in securing new projects.
The role will suite a person who likes to challenge the "normal" and will bring knowledge, experience and strategic thinking to the team to find alternative or innovative solutions to give Brosnan a competitive edge in securing new projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the pre-construction team to develop proposals
- Advise on construction methodologies, sequencing, buildability issues, and clash detection
- Work closely with Construction Managers to develop construction programmes and methodologies
- Identify and develop alternative construction methods that will help secure new projects
- Work closely with selected trade subcontractors to develop innovative solutions
- Liasing with consultants/subcontractors and attending site visits
- Prepare site set-out, traffic management, and scaffolding plans
- Identifying HSE and Quality requirements and assist with plans
- Identify and schedule plant and equipment requirements
- Work closely with estimators to ensure bids are competitive
- Identify and report risks and opportunities
- Review contractor schedules and schedule risk analysis
- Cultivate company awareness of contractual obligations and contractual position on time related matters
- Write methodologies for bid submissions, which include marked-up site layouts, access routes, etc., in conjunction with the tender program
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Advanced user of MS Projects
- MS suite proficiency
- On-site experience in a supervisor, site manager, or project manager role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Contract Conditions
- Experience on a range of projects preferred
